Pink Flamingos (1972)

I first watched Pink Flamingos in film school, and everyone I knew was SHOCKED that a nice girl from Kansas with exceptional manners was fully and utterly smitten by this John Waters masterpiece. It's so silly and dark and fun and I love that it was just a bunch of outcast friends making art together. The world needs more of that, especially now.
